I don't personally ankle carry but any of the popular pocket guns would likely work.

    M&P Shield
    Kahr PM9
    Beretta Nano
    Glock 26
    Ruger LCR 9mm

I have ankle carried a glock 26 for 4 + years. I use a galco ankle glove. I am use to it and its fine. I think a 43 would work great or angthing smaller then a 26.. I wouldnt go any bigger though. 26 is a good compromise , it helps to wear a good boot to support it but its fine with shoes as well. Dont worry about one of those support straps they arent really anything helpful.

There's really no limit for ankle carry. Carrying full size is possible if your pant legs are big enough. That's your only real limitation.

I carried a G27 for years on my ankle. Chased bad guys, climbed fences, fought criminals...forgot I was wearing it. Used a good holster that allowed me to cinch it down rear tight, it was a Don Hume.

There's really no limit for ankle carry. . .

In my experience there is a limit, and I tend to think of it in terms of weight (not so much size, although size and weight are somewhat directly related).

It's a fuzzy limit and varies from person to person, but at somepoint too much weight starts to negatively impact one's gait.

At that point you've reached your limit.

I could have written your post, brother slowG. I've had an Ankle Glove for many years. How comfortable is it? I once walked into a school to check on some plumbing work and forgot I had it on!! I freaked out when I put my foot on a ladder and then felt it.

Sig P238 (.380 not 9 mm) - great little gun for its size....this would have been my first response had you not asked for 9mm. Some of the newer HP 380 ammo packs a punch (well relatively speaking...).

    or...how about a classic S&W 38 special six shooter?

Glock 26 in an Ankleglove... Every day for 15 years or so, run, jump and it's still there. Galco also makes a boot extension Velcro piece of you wear it over a boot.
