The best AR mags for me have always been original GI but difficult to find these days and expensive if you do. Oh the days of getting them for 10 bucks apiece. Yeah, I'm an old fart.

I haven't found there to be much of a difference between USGI 30-round mags and the D&H aluminum mags with anti-tilt followers you can get from PSA and Brownells for <$10
