    I agree with the previous comments, summer is usually a little to humid for my tastes. Fall is probably the better season to hike in southern Indiana. Just be aware that a lot of smaller water sources tend to dry up in the fall so you will probably have to carry more, or store some ahead of time along the trail.

    You can't go wrong in the spring or fall.
