Best Blue on a 1911??????

I got the itch for a GREAT looking 1911. I would like to have a 1911 with the deepest, richest, high luster blue you can get.
Outside of dropping $6K on some crazy custom 1911, who has what I want?
I think this might be a race between Kimber and Colt, not sure......
Opinions and/or pictures welcome.

This is my preference... Gun Bluing Made Easy With Van's Instant Gun Blue!
With multiple application it becomes more akin to parkerizing. Generally, two to three coats is needed for a nice deep bluing. I have used this for over 20 years & never been disappointed with it. Other opinions will vary, I'm sure. Best of luck to you!

that wilson looks very nice. if you want a super dark finish that will last, then i would look into cera coat or some other type of bake on finish rather then just blueing.

Dude, I'm not even close to a 1911 fan, but that Wilson Combat is stunning. Sadly, it is not $5k stunning to me.

I think Wilson used Turnbull for some bluing and casehardening, buy whatever you want and ship it off to them.

Yep Turnbull did the Wilson. The bright blue is not durable at all, it will scratch off a the slightest touch.
