Best bluing / rust remover

Per the title, which is best?

Evapo-Rust

Krud cutter

Muriatic acid

Have quite a few parts I need 100% rust and bluing free so that the metal is in the white.

Well, Krud Kutter is a cleaner so it would not remove rust well.

Muriatic acid is a relatively mild acid so it would be effective but would require care in using.

Evapo-Rust would probably be the safest bet if you are not re-blueing. Evapo-Rust has a mild rust inhibitor

How to Restore the Bluing on a Firearm using Evapo-Rust

This will remove all of the red oxide (Rust) and Black Oxide (Bluing) from the gun.

Naval Jelly. But keep an eye on it.

Birchwood Casey's rust & bluing remover works pretty good. It's basically diluted Muriatic acid. Just be mindful of flash rust when using any acidic rust remover.
