Best Deer Slug for hunting season

alright guys, deer season is rapidly approaching. The gun is a Remington 870 Express with a smooth bore, not rifled. Can shoot 2 3/4" and 3" magnum. I usually use 3" Magnum. Last couple years i used Winchester Super X in 3" or Brenneke 3" magnums. Real impressed with the Brenneke, but i was wondering what you guys shoot or recommend?

I reccomend to go out and purchase SEVERAL differant types of ammo, and use the one that YOUR gun likes best.

Use the slug that's most accurate in your gun. You can't kill what you can't hit.

That said I use Winchester 2-3/4" Super X in my smoothbore and Lightfield Hybrid Elite in my rifled barrel.

Last couple of Years I have used the Hornaday SST in a Browning Gold with Custom made rifled slug barrel with pretty good luck
But like someone else said use what Your Shotgun shoots best
I Shot a Remington 1100 for years and it liked the cheaper Remington slugs

My son has the same gun you have and his 870 loves Brenneke's. Last year he bought a box of their Knock Out style in addition to the Magnums and they also were great. Last year he got 2 does, both traveled about 5 feet each from 40 yards.

yeah, i got a buck last year with the Brenneke Magnum and it went maybe 2 or 3 feet and just dropped. they have one heck of a punch to them! i think it may be another Brenneke year haven't let me down yet
