    not wanting to thread jack but very similar to OPs question;

    what is a good/best lube for cold weather?
    Something thin applied lightly.

    People get wrapped around the axle of specifics when lubrication in a firearm is really not that complicated of a task. If it doesn't freeze or slow down the action, it's plenty good enough.

    For this state rust prevention is probably the biggest concern, and I usually opt for boeshield t-9 to wipe down the outside of a firearm with. It's ultimately just paraffin wax in an aerosol can, I'm not sure if anyone else makes a similar product but I'd certainly like to have more options.

    I use use weapon shield. Can't say that it's any better or worse than others, but is considerably less expensive. I believe it's designed by the same guy that started fp10. I got like half a gallon of oil and 16 0z of grease for like $50. I will never need anymore. Quite a few you tube videos about it
