In desperate need for new shoes on our Altima.

I've winnowed down what I want to the Goodyear Assurance ComforTred Touring 94V (21/55R17)

So far, the Goodyear / Gemini place by the Greenwood Mall is a front-runner. None of the other tire places here on the south side haven't beaten it.

Just wondering if another side of town might be different?

IF Discount Tire has that same model tire in stock, they'll beat the price; they always have for me, anyways. Look at the "hidden" costs though. Balancing (lifetime??), road hazard/replacement policies, etc. can often make a good deal not so good, and what looks like a worse deal into the best one around.

    Thanks all for the responses.

yes, I've been all over Tirerack.com! I had it narrowed down to a BFGoodrich tire, a Michelin tire (Primacy, I think), and two from Goodyear.

The ComforTred Touring have won out based on Tirerack ratings, factory-specified tread life, and cost.

I have Bridgestone Potenza G019 on there right now...TERRIBLE tires. Wish I knew then what I know now about them. They had fantastic ratings at the beginnings; I had a set of the slightly older model on my other car; LOVED them. Put the "updated" G019 on our Altima... Stupid tires have cupped so badly can hardly hear myself think while in the car.
