Tried to watch Die Hard but didn't want to pay $4 for the pleasure.
This cracks me up. I used to rent from blockbuster several times a week, spent way more than I do streaming, but noticed a few months ago we would not watch what we wanted because it was not included in my streaming package. While I don’t want to spend a fortune buying specific titles we now are getting over the thinking all we watch must be no additional charge.

Yeah the problem for me is I am paying a monthly fee for certain streaming services I never had a block buster monthly fee. But I agree I’m petty like that too could be $3 and I’d probably just watch something else

As I recall Blockbuster was around $4 per rental. On top of a high dollar cable bill I was renting 3-4 per week, particularly when I was watching a series like Sopranos, I was spending an additional $50 bucks a month on top of cable. Then don’t get me started on how much we spent on CD’s, a top flight music subscription is cheap compared.

Overall my entertainment costs are way down, I can spring for a movie now and then…

Or chose the slow shipping option on Amazon Prime and get "digital credits"....I think we're sitting at over $20 in free movie credits right now...

I've seen Die Hard about 30 times, so don't really need to watch it all that closely to enjoy it. I think I'm going to watch on New Year's Eve this year.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">If you start Die Hard at 9:57:10 on New Year&#39;s Eve, Hans Gruber will reach the ground floor at Nakatomi Plaza at exactly midnight to ring in the New Year! <a href="https://t.co/RL9ErjsfWw">pic.twitter.com/RL9ErjsfWw</a></p>&mdash; GeekFuel (@TheGeekFuel) <a href="">November 10, 2021</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

    Well, that got screwed up.

Check the $5 bin at walmart.
Also on Ebay you can usually find excellent condition used dvds for under $7 delivered. Decluttr store is a reputable seller. I lost track of how many classic movies Ive bought there that "should" have cost me $15 a pop.
And yes, $7>$4. But you can watch it repeatedly. Its worth $7 to maybe watch again. But not worth $4 a watch.
