Just came back from a shoot in TN. They were shooting everything from quail eggs to Tannerite and from 100 yards to 800 yards. There were several guys who hit a chicken egg at 800 yards. I think every long range egg bust was with a 6 Dasher. Late Saturday morning a guy showed up with a .375 VM. 350 gr solid copper bullet over 155 gr of BMG 50. Schmidt & Bender scope, power IDK. If you've not seen this round, here is one next to a .223.

That blurred white plate by the tree line is at the 800 yard berm.

A 375 grain bullet traveling 3500 fps... with over 10,000 ft lb muzzle energy.... That is also 1/2 MOA capable and only needs 13.5 MOA to get to 1,000yd with a 100yd zero...

    So. Much. Want.

No, it wasn't the Sgt. York shoot. Just a bunch of guys from another forum getting together to bust some eggs. tannerite, and steel. Here's a photo of the gun.

I would love to have that, very nice.

The owner is a machinist and, believe it or not, he made the receiver, bolt, and muzzle brake. The barrel has a progressive twist. 1:16 at the throat and 1:8 at the muzzle. I think he said it's a Kreiger. He also has a straight 1:10 which he keeps on the gun most of the time intending to save the progressive barrel.
