Hey team, yeah it me.
I just wanted to let you know that we are having a 1 mile / 1760 yards shot coming up on the 26th of February. So if you happen to be down here, please drop me line and I’ll show you guys how we shoot in So-Cal
I’m actually really excited about it as my “Ballistic Zombies” are the main 1 MOA targets..
I’m also making up the theme sign for it too. Unfortunately I’m failing miserably at it..
So where did I wrong and can I salvage this?
I your opinion, is it worth salvaging or should I just SC and start over..
I’m thinking the only way (I can see) out of my hole is by fabricating up two more heads, one on each side of the main head and turning the base into a tombstone.
Or I turn the neck and cut the base and turn it into an award trophy, looking thing?
IDK..
Anyway.
To date we have 14 contestants / shooters (including myself) who will be participating in the shoot… these are the calibers currently being represented.
(1) 223 bolt (same guy) (bs never going to make it) IMO
(1) 270 (same guy) (bs never going to make it) IMO
(2) 308 (bs never going to make it) IMO
(2) 300 wm
(3) 338 lupas
(1) 410
(1) 416
(2) 510 tdc (I think I got that right) ?
(2) 50 BMG
Target wise, we'll have 1, 2 & 3 MOA targets to shoot at.
Here’s the thread / link if you wanted to read up on how it all started. http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/showthread.php?t=388912
I also contacted DTA since we’ll have 3 of their rifeles out there I figured that they might want to make a showing. Then I called US Optics, etc, so we’ll see how it all turns out..
We’ll have plenty of pics and video of the entire shoot.. So it should be fun and proof that I officially shot this 1 mile.. hahaaa
For safety reasons the location will not be publicly announced, more specially we’ll have well over $50k worth of hardware and we don't want to get shoot for it..
Anyway, I just thought I would share..
Thanks for your time everybody..
Have a great week
