The three circle symbols are quite intriguing. Obama is the first POTUS that I know of to have his own distinct "symbol"....

Godwin's law - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

There are many corollaries to Godwin's law, some considered more canonical (by being adopted by Godwin himself)[3] than others.[1] For example, there is a tradition in many newsgroups and other Internet discussion forums that once such a comparison is made, the thread is finished and whoever mentioned the Nazis has automatically "lost" whatever debate was in progress. This principle itself is frequently referred to as Godwin's law.

I don't think Godwin's law applies if the comparison is legitimate.

Hands Off Hitler! - Reason Magazine
I understand the sentiment, but still disagree. Hitler is a cliche. He's overused by anyone with even a slightly (or even non-) legitimate comparison, and it's become a tired shtick. It's a "guilt by association" form of ad hominem, and if the only objection we can make against a person or idea is "b-b-b-bu-but... HITLER!", then perhaps we need to spend some time working on some real arguments.

I don't think that's really a fair way to look at this. Obama is a socialist, has unapologetic socialists working for his administration, etc. There's a legitimate comparison here.

Good point. Perhaps, the billboard could have used someone more accurate than Hitler. But would the billboard have generated as much acknowledgement.

Many Know Hitler, many probably dont know Mao. I doubt many know how truly evil Lenin was <------ Makes Hitler look like an angel.

I wouldn't compare Obama, as much as I despise him, with people who are directly responsible for the murders of millions of innocent people. It isn't fair, and is in fact belittling of what those people did, and an insult to what the survivors of those genocides went through.

I think it's a legitimate warning, since Obama's rise to power closely mirrors Hitler's, and his policies closely mirror both Hitler's and Stalin's.
