Well 2014 is 2 weeks old and I have my 1[SUP]st[/SUP] entry into my bound book. I found this one on line New Years Eve for the BIN price of $128.75, so after requesting a pic of the barrel markings I figured I couldn’t much go wrong with another 36 Tula hex receiver with possible SCW heritage. The rifle is your typical non-refurbed mix master like so many SCW rifles, with a Tula stock, and Spanish style cleaning rod. The bore looked like it hadn’t been cleaned since 1938, but after some cleaning it is still dark, but I can now see some rifling, and after a few rounds down range I think it will clean up.
