    Great video. Those of us in the machine trades always enjoy seeing the old machines and manufacturing methods. Those excellent and accurate rifles were machined and built without any CNC machinery!

    One of my Garand's is a 55'. Maybe the one the gentleman was forging from hot steel. Not likely but maybe. Although those same gentleman in the video most likely did have their hands on my Garand back then. Thanks for posting as it's always cool to see old school methods in action.

    I really love my Garand. Such a neat piece of history. Fantastic video.

    I love mine, too. One of my favorite things about it is the en bloc clips. Not that much slower than a magazine, and so cheap. Much prefer to the M14/M1A rifles. Just something more classic and substantial about the Garand. And it gave the American soldier such a huge advantage in battle.
