hey folks thought i would ask for some help on bold coyote's
i don't know everything but i bet between all of us we do
got annexed into the city limits now and live on 25 acres of woods and fields
and the coyote's now are getting brave. not scared of the dogs any more and i
just hit them with a hand full of rocks before they would leave .
i want to shoot them but do not want to jeopardize my lchg
do you think i could pull it off if they where in the yard :ar15:
i got some snares just been to muddy to set them up

    thanks

Cross bow!! and lots of bolts, also there are some air guns more than capable of taking a yote at 40 to 50 yards.

This. There are plenty of powerful airguns. Your best bet would be in .22 cal. If you're good with a crossbow, go for it.

Snares are fine if you have a trail that is used.

I would go for the foot hold trap. I have caught many coyotes in foot hold traps right in subdivisions and citites.
You will need a proper foot hold trap and staking system but it can be done with out to much problem.

let me know if you need anymore info on this
    ;)

would like to use foot hold traps but there are a few deer in the woods
and we have a pond with a few geese in it and they are dumber than a stick and would end up in the foot traps
    lots of good idea's
going to put up some snares and picked up some .22 subsonics
start with that and work my way up
    thanks

yea a deer will pull out of a foot hold trap especially if you are using a #2, also if you are an archer then i dont see this being a problem, if you can hit them with rocks then with a bow should be easy. also try baiting them with the trap, i think you know how to do that if you trap.

Even if you catch it in a snare.... then how do you plan on humanely killing it? If your worried about noise, a .22 with subsonics is pretty quiet, but how close are the nearest neighbors?

Wish you were closer i would gladly sit in the back of my truck about 20 yards from some road kill and make them yelp!

I would go with the crossbow or compound bow. It isn't as hard as it may seem. I have called in several using a treestand and taken them with a bow. Decoys or misdirection of the coyotes attention is very helpful.
