    Hi

I've got some pretty good hand loads for my bolt action 223 and I'm wondering if they'll be safe in my ar. I'm about to start reloading for my ar and thought my bolt gun rounds may give me a good start but I don't know if they'll be dangerous

    cheers

As long as you used published data only and seated the bullets such that they don't touch the rifling (doubtful that you did), you should be perfectly safe with them in your AR.

I can tell you that neck sized only reloads probably wont chamber fully in your ar. They have to be full length sized for proper function in a semi auto.
    Been there done that.

Full length sized and as long as they fit the mag should be good to go.
My bolt gun load won't work in my AR because the rounds are to long for the mag.
