Your dept. doesn't have enough shotguns to issue out? Why is that?

I can think of several departments who no longer issue shotguns. Carbines are the rule now. Shotguns now tend to get the Orange stocks and not every officer gets one. I even know of one department that issues the Sig MPX in 9mm and carries the new P320. So complete ammo standardization and can use a Pistol/shotgun only range for qualification.

Sooooo.......if you load this with buck shot can you be sued for false advertising?....."Dude I would have never threatened the guy if the stock had said "More Lethal!!""....

Its more for quick identification of the shotgun and for other officers to see that its less lethal. Some guys carry two shotguns in their trunks... Less lethal and lethal. It would be a horrible mistake to take a lethal shotgun when you need the less lethal.

Hmm thats fairly interesting!! I may have done that if I still had the old 887 but I think I'll stick with my new 870 and save 250 bucks.

That would be a killer deal for someone though
