Browning corp making a 1911 now?

Heard thru the grapevine of a browning 1911-45 and a 1911-22.

New to the line and all.

Anyone else here this rumor.

I really like the 1911-22 Compact in the link OneBadV8 posted. The MSRP of $600 is a bit steep, but if there were a 1911 Compact in 22lr for about $300, I'd be all over that. The Kimber conversion seems to be about as close as I've seen.
