Bugs here, drive you crazy

Are any of you having problems with "bugs" to the extent that you hate to go outside? I am!

I'm not sure but I think they are buffalo gnats or black flies. Mosquito/bug dope of various kinds seems to accomplish nothing.

Do any of you know what kind of bug I'm talking about? They seem to be at their worst when I'm raking grass but plenty bad at all times and for some time.

Is there some kind of dope I can buy or make that will help keep these things off of me?

I use real vanilla, dab some on your finger run around your neck. You may put it in a spray bottle as well. The imitation stuff works and is cheaper but does not work as well.

Try going out the the Lamasco softball field around 7 and stand in the outfield. I swallowed a three course meal one night
