If all you are going to say is gas impingement is lighter than piston, please do not comment.

Has anyone built anything like this before?

I'm looking at the following parts:
Kaiser Gen 3 receiver set (I know, polymer and titanium)
Faxon midlength gunner barrel 11.5 inches
    Superlative Arms midlength piston kit
Some type of carbon fiber handguard
the rest of the parts as light as I can get.

I'm not deadset on the parts. I definitely want piston, because as a lefty, shooting a gas impingement AR supressed is not great.

Well no parts I want are in stock anywhere except for the upper and lower... Perhaps I should just buy an 11.5 inch Adams Arms P2 pistol and call it a day?

Update, ordered a bunch of parts from OpticsPlanet. Several days later, I got an email that almost everything I ordered that was said to be in stock was backordered.

I think I may just end up going with an Adams Arms P2 11.5 inch pistol.
