I stopped in that store when they first opened. Maybe they've improved since then, but what I saw was a totally disorganized pile of crap on pallets... merchandise on shelves covered in dust like they literally pulled it out of grandpa's garage where it had been sitting for years. Maybe I will give it another look, but I was overwhelmingly unimpressed. Kind of like Big Lots, except after looters had gone through it and thrown everything all over the place.

I stopped in Harbor Freight on E Washington and noticed a BDL next door. Ten feet in it looked like a hoarder was having a garage sale with MSRP on most things. Made me wish Liberty Bell was still in business.

I haven't been back yet. Is $80 a good price on that knife? (not much of a knife guy so I don't know) I know I can get a vintage Cattaraugus for much less on ebay.

I thought so. I don’t need it and haven’t decided if I’ll keep it or flip it. I may try to trade it for another ZT at some point.

I'm sure you're right. I'd flip it if it were me and could get anywhere close to MSRP. I just can't bring myself to spend that much on a pocket knife.

My wife found 2 NIB not Keurig KCup compatible single-serving coffee makers at the Greenwood store the other day. They sell for $160 on Amazon. She paid $7.50 each. I had her buy two of them.

She also got a nice electric kettle for $1. But it doesn't work. Oh well. That's what happens when you buy an open box item. But - it was $1.

I got the Benchmade at the East Washington store (they also had 2 SOG Seal Pups I passed on). My kid loves to treasure hunt through the bins too. The W 38th Street store is in my beat and I stop in there probably three times a week just to browse.

I'm sure you're right. Like I said, I'm a cheap bastard. :): It does sound like VUPD did get a heck of a deal though. I'm out of my element when it comes to higher end knives and such.

Good thing for you that the Benchmade 940 isn't a higher end knife. At least not to "knife people". heh

I offered him $100 for it. hahahah!
