    I played a game at an action pistol match where teams of three men cut down 4 x 4 posts by shooting at the base. It sounds silly but it was lots of fun. I am sure if you grilled cheeseburgers and supplied beverage enough pistoleros would come by. :):

    93 feet tall
    was about 80 feet wide
    Time of fall 11:31 PM
    Fall Direction Southeast but hinged more to the east as it fell
    Anyone want to help cut up a green Sycamore?

    I'm guessing it's still standing and now more unsafe than before?

    it fell pretty close within the quadrant I thought it would fall.

    Before the fire was started I put a stress line on the base with ax strikes to help it on its way.

    Plan B was to hit the base with 30-06 AP ammo till it fell.

    Keep that base burning and burn the roots below ground. I did that last year to 3 of the 6 trees I had cut down the previous year. Sometime this summer the others will get the same treatment.
