After years of hunting the Bushy-Tail with a old bolt action 22 I decided to change it up this year.

So I bought myself a single shot break open 20ga that I will be breaking in tomorrow.

    Pics to come...

My buddy and I are heading out tomorrow to LaSalle FWA

He will be toting my 10/22 take down, and I was thinking of either sharing it with him or bringing my old JC Higgjns 12 gauge...

Any one have a load suggestion?

Is non toxic required on state property??

I went on my first ever hunt on Friday. I spent 4 and a half hours at Wilbur Wright but came up empty. I heard a few barking but they must have been above the leaves or hunkered down in a hole. I'm not sure it would have been very enjoyable if it had been a typical hot August day with bugs all over the place, but it turned out to be a nice time in the woods.
