Depends on the shift. Usually every few shifts. Sometimes three in a shift (out of 20-25 patients). If I worked days I would intubate more. Seems the really sick ones usually come in during the day

Dont let him fool you. I stopped in to have a finger x-rayed and he was bored and tried to intubate me. Apparently it was a slow day.

I stopped in July 4th in the evening, never saw him. SOOOO glad now that I didn't. All I needed was a migraine cocktail

That's funny. I'm about an hour out of Indy and my wife's husband is a nurse, too!

hah. If I'm doing compressions on you I'm slamming a big straw into your trachea fairly quickly. We just breathe continuously.

In some places, that's called a one-point restraint. In others, it's a PVC challenge.

Dude, just friends is OK, really.

I have seen enough of those hospital shows to know what goes on there. SEX! Constant non stop sex amongst the staff.

I must be working at the wrong hospitals.

That's true in a lot of places. I am the exception, not the rule.

If I ever need emergent doctorin', HD's hospital is my first choice.

We've had our daughter there a few times over the past 6 years for (thankfully) relatively minor things.
