Thank you! I have been eyeballing a Sig Sauer 1911 for about two months now. I was thinking that I should stay patient and look at this! Now I gotta get my taxes done so I can get on this deal, plus the 15-22 deal from S&W.

What I have seen, you have to pay MSRP for the 1911 to get the 22. Still not a bad deal, but not awesome either. Maybe that was just at store I saw the deal.

That is a good deal get them while you can. I was at PSS Monday and Bob said Sig distributor was trying to back out on that deal. Not for sure what is going on they were trying not to honor it.

good marketing on there part .

Actually, it's horrible marketing. They put the promo up on their website without informing dealers or distributors about it ahead of time (I found out about it from a customer call) and did not provide any information to either the dealers or end users about how the promo actually works (the website just says to "contact your SIG dealer"). Yesterday, I called SIG for additional information and got an answering machine. I left a message but did not get a call back today. I also found out that only one of our four SIG distributors is supporting the program. The word "cluster****" comes to mind.

My buddy just did this deal yesterday at store in ft wayne. He and another buddy went in and both tried doing it and they denied one of them bc they said the promotion really hasn't started yet and they only had 8 of the 1911-22 to give away!!! Well after talking to mgr they both walked out and were happy. My friend got the 1911 the classic one and free 1911-22. Oh the clerk also said something about how there is a 175 processing fee normally on the free gun but they complaining and didn't end up paying extra. Typical gander service issues at first but all ended well

I did this deal yesterday at Gander in Fort Wayne. I picked up the C3 as i'm looking for something a bit smaller (they didn't have an Ultra TT), and the standard 1911-22 came for free (they had it on sale for 399, but normally runs 429). I had no issues and did NOT have to pay the $175 processing fee (never came up). I thought about selling the 22 but might just keep it for my wife or to plink around with. I'm as happy as a pig knee deep in my own ****.

I should add that I took the last 1911-22 they had in stock and they don't know when more will be coming in. The manager said they get most of their shipments in on fridays and to call then if you were looking for the deal. He also went into the back and sold me 500 rounds of 22 when there were none on the shelf, so they hold some back.
