    OP... look at the hammer, is it new and shiny. I would stand clear. Does the hammer show signs of wear or usage, you should be good.
    I enjoy milling out my own 80* lowers, and have done my fair share of research on this topic, and could come back to you if there’s and issue in the future.

    so, it is good to go if it was built with a used hammer? I don’t understand that logic.

    It’s stated on the ATF site, A fireman can’t be manufactured with intentions to sell or give away without numbers, but can be done so if interest is lost in firearm or some time after being complete. Obviously in much complex words, but that’s what I got out of it, and I maybe completely wrong.

    But what if the fireman built it just for display and never shot it?
