Hi guys. I need to be directed to someplace where I can find Indiana's requirements when buying a firearm from a Living Trust. Is an FFL agent required, are there specific forms required and so forth. Thanks in advance for all assistance.

I'd imagine as long as the trust was formed in Indiana you'd be good to go with a private sale. All trustees, or maybe just the one physically giving you the gun, may have to be Indiana residents as well, I really don't know. Of course the answer to EXPAT's question could change that. If it's NFA there is paperwork and a significant wait time. NFA items are far and away the most popular firearms to go in a trust, so that's probably it.

    Trusts, and corporations, are people.

    1. Where is this trust? Is this an intra or interstate purchase?

    2. What are we buying? Trust, maybe a strong inference that this is Title II?

    3. Is the buyer a prohibited person in any way?
