LE agencies, officers, and .mil are exempt. Convenient.

    Well of course they are!

I'm not sure what is their reasoning behind that.
It would be interesting to talk to the people who came up with that stupid unconstitutional bill.

If the average citizens don't need more than 10 rounds to defend themselves I'm sure cops don't need those evil "high cap" mags either.

I think they tried to pass a similar law in another state but forgot to exempt LEOs from the bill.
It would have made all LEOs fellons. So they dropped it.

And if that law is supposed to make the public safer I don't know why the military is exempt since there has been instances of mass shootings on military bases.

    So much hypocrisy.

Maybe I can score some deals on 3rd gen 5900 S&W mags. I could use as many as I can get. Maybe some Pre B CZ 75/85 mags.

An AR15 mag for .458 SOCOM that holds 10 rnds could hold 30 rounds of 5.56. If Magpul was really smart, they would sell .458 marked followers. They'd sell a ton I'm sure.

IIRC, some Canadian gun owners were able to continue buying mags by using some variation of this tactic.

    That makes it possible...not easy.

Well it makes it easy to go to the door anyway ... collecting in another story (and the risky part) .

Not sure if any LEO would be willing to do that.
Some Sheriffs already said they won't send deputies door to door to collect mags.

Legally you can't even walk in and search people's home. Not sure how the law makers plan to take away those mags.
They obviously never heard of the 4th amemedment ... or the 2nd.

I say if these laws are so useful and effective, THEY dont need them either. They can get by with 10 just like the rest of us.

Federal judge blocks California law that would have banned magazines holding more than 10 bullets.

9th circus will override that on appeal. Count on it.
