Anyone have any insight on Camillus knives?? Any first hand experience?? Thoughts on craftsmanship???

Current Camillus models are not that good and most are made in China. Some of the older and original Camillus knives are pretty good and some models are collectible.

Camillus was one of the oldest knife manufactures in the US, dating back somewhere in the mid to late 1800's. Camillus went out of business in 2007. The Camillus brand name was purchased by Acme United in 2009 with most of the knives being made in China.

I have a Camillus 716s double lock blade. It was a present in the '90s. I like it, nice knife. But like most of my knife collection, I just take it out of the box & admire it then put it back.
