I found my Camillus knife that I used in the military. It has a blade on one end and parachute cord cutter on the other. Do these have any value? Thanks.

If it is orange in color and has a button (switchblade) to release the main blade, then yes it has some value. It's a Camillus MC-1 Paratrooper knife.

If this is not the knife then I would need to see a picture.

These were made under a US government contract, so there are literally thousands if not millions of them out there and they are relatively easy to find. I have seen them in the $50 to $75 range at the shows and as high as $100.00 on line. Actually Camillus was the second company to make these for the government with Scharde Walden being the first company to manufacture them around 1957-1958. There was a third company that made them...Logan Symith located in Florida and they seem to be the hardest to find. :twocents:

See, that's why I posted. BK has all sorts of good info. And thanks for the list shootersix.

I almost lost this knife to British airport security on my first trip to Saudi Arabia. We were supposed fly out of RAF Mildenhall but our C-141 broke. They booked us on British Airways out of London. I forgot I packed the knife in my carry on. When the guards saw it, they were cool and didn't jackboot me. I showed them my TDY orders and my lead NCO confirmed it. They just sealed it up in a bag for me to pickup when we arrived in Germany.

I flew with this knife and a Benchmade knife (which I still have).
