Can I win a firearm raffle held in Illinois?

A friend has a niece in IL, who is on an AAU basketball travel team. They are selling raffle tickets, and most of the prizes are firearms. Living in Indy, if I buy a ticket & win, is there any way I would be able to take possession of the firearm?

I'm hoping that the IL dealer would be able to ship it to a local FFL dealer here, that would make the transfer. Does that sound about right? Anything I'm missing?

I'd be careful about that. Indiana guns going to Chicago are creating a lot of crime. Re-importing them might be dangerous.

Check and see if possessing a foid card is a requirement to win the gun. You might have to have the foid card to get the gun from the Illinois FFL (even though you're not taking possession in IL)

Could be a catch in there somewhere.

FOID is for Illinoiastan residents only. FFL to FFL is all that's required.
