Can you use High temp (1100 degree )silver solder on aluminum?

Since aluminum melts at around 1220 F and hi-temp silver solder melts at 1100 F, can drill a hole through them and then silver solder the hole closed?

I'm not sure if Aluminum really melts that low. Cars use a lot of Alum parts and I've run my exhaust gas temps up to 1650 before. Maybe some light allows start melting at the lower temp.

aluminum does melt that low, at least all the stuff we process at work does

only problem is going to be when you get the aluminum to 1100 degrees it will become O-temper, ie dead soft.
