well any piece of steel with an edge has a use, this however I see more as a novelty because you basically have to take it apart to put it together. I don't see it being more useful than cutting tape, envelopes and such. it might some merit for covert use though.

I've never seen one of these before, but I do have a couple of small lockback with a clip that I carry as a money clip. I even inadvertantly slipped one past security at the City County Building one time.

I agree with you though, I think it's a novelty, or maybe some use as an emergency cutting tool, as opposed to anything self defense related.

In other words, it's not cool, it's TACTI-cool

I think it looks pretty nicely done. I'd be interested to see some pictures once you receive yours. I haven't met many knives I didn't like across the spectrum.

Reminds me of something I keep in my backpack that was given to me by a friend...Packs into the base which is about as the size of 3 credit cards stacked. I don't think it would go through airport security and I haven't tried. (sorry for the bad flash mark on the phone picture...)
