I have been carrying my px4 in the chest pocket of my carhartt bibs with no holster. I know it's not a good idea but its my option right now. I have been thinking about a drop rig under the bibs but I am wandering if there are other options that might work.

Maybe one if the leg pockets with a holster? I know they are pretty big, if it fits the chest pocket it should fit in there.

A ruger p-95 which is about the same size as a full size px4 fits in the leg pocket of my Carhart bib's, but not really with a holster. At least not concealed. With a holster the grip sticks out. If I were the OP I'd go with a drop leg holster worn outside the bibs.:rockwoot:Or if he wants to conceal a shoulder holster under a cover garment.

If u must carry that way, just know that your trigger guard is unprotected and depending on how you are bending when something gets in there...it could end very badly.

Maybe a vanguard "trigger" holster should be used if you insist on carrying there.

If you do not have the money for a holster, I would suggest cutting the side of a milk jug out to the appropriate size and using it between the gun and the outside of the coat. It should offer some protection from the trigger becoming snagged on something and it will also hide the imprint of the weapon; not to mention save wear on the coat from the gun. Just make sure you cut the piece to where it just barely fits into the pocket to ensure maximum coverage. However, I'd suggest you go out and get an Uncle Mike's holster, as they are cheap and readily available.

I agree with the recommendations to get some kind of pocket holster/trigger cover. Until you do get something, make sure you don't put anything else in that pocket.
