I cant carry to my doc. It just happens to be a federal offense,NO guns in the VA!
My wifes civillian doc perfers that we carry and likes to see what we got. I make it an effort to change the gun I carry everytime just because he likes to look at them. The had a few people robbed in the parking lot in broad daylight for their perscriptions! I told him that rest assured if they tried one of us that he would no longer have that problem. He came out and bought a gun to CC and just signed up for my October Beginner Handgun /CC Class. Some are cool, most would freak out. Only you know your doc! My wifes just happens to ride a Harley and carries a Sig 2022 9mm.

Yea I just had this happen the other day. I was kinda nervous bout carrying it in but I wasn't about to leave it out in my wrangler with no top on and no great way yet to keep it locked up. I was carrying IWB at the time because I was at work. So I just told the Doc before I had to drop the drawers that I had a firearm on me and he just said "that's fine, just don't drop it." So all was good. Glad other people had this experience too.
