Some people just don’t belong on the street.

How do you load an AR with two 30 round magazines? Maybe they were duplexed together?

    6 whole years...

    maybe 3 with good behavior...
But in the words of Hogsett re: license plate cams being implemented, "We need to make people accountable".

Yeah... sure thing Joe... all wonderful checking the boxes and feeling like you accomplished something by catching someone AFTER the fact... Only to let them out shortly afterwards to repeat their behavior.

Oh so we don’t have to worry about being murdered by this asshat for what, 2-3 years if he’s a good boy? This is his second offense, time to throw away the keys. He doesn’t belong in a civilized society.

Agreed. Its a shame the judicial system has become a joke and criminals are no longer afraid of consequences.

There’s no consequences, they get sent to criminal school to learn how to do it better, then they get killed because they think there’s no consequences, and people riot because he was just turning his life around. I say bring back hard labor. The government uses my tax dollars to take care of them while they’re locked up, they can dig ditches and make gravel to earn their keep!

Agreed. It seems to me that our whole system of "justice" is based on faulty premises. In reality, what we are really dealing with is a double injury for victims. First, they are the victim of a crime. Second, they are forced to pay to sustain the life of whoever wronged them. It should be the other way around. Justice should be about compensating the victim. If you steal something, you must pay it back plus extra. You probably don't have it or the money to replace it, so you'll have to do some labor until you can. Assault somebody? Well, you have to pay all of their medical bills plus a nice fat compensation for injuring them. Murder somebody? Well, guess what? You just became the lifelong slave of that person's family (not literally, but in the sense of compensating them for the murder of their loved one). These are just ideas, and it's not to say that we don't need a place for locking violent people away from the rest of society, but it shouldn't be at the taxpayers' expense. How does sitting in a cage getting 3 free meals a day "pay a debt to society"?
