Caught a beautiful red and white yote (pic)

I caught this today , i've caught several red with pale bellies over the last several years but this is a 1st

Really? It's head and face looks exactly like every coyote I've ever seen.

What exactly are you seeing that doesn't look coyote?

We had a few wild dogs breed with coyotes many years ago when the Masses left Anderson in the early 1980's. We got one that went 53 pounds and the next year one almost 60 pounds. These were normal colored but the head was different and they were big.

I would have to agree. I think there is some dog in that yote. But very unique.

Muzzle is thin but the head is thicker than normal. Might be the camera angle though whit the ears down playing with me,

Coyotes to me have a thinner head with thinner muzzle. The ones we shot in the 1980 were coydogs for sure because we saw them running sheep together as a pack. The dogs and coyote together the fall before.

How is this one's head "different"? Really. I am not seeing it! Looking to be educated.

I see the long, narrow muzzle, typical coyote head shape, correct ear position and shape for a coyote. Eye shape, position, and coloration look to be of a coyote as well.

EDIT: Late on the trigger. Still not seeing a thicker head than usual, though.

The color says it has domestic dog in its blood somewhere but nothing else.
it's size , shape , paws , teeth , muzzle and everything else is coyote.
I've trapped 100's upon 100's
the camera angle on the face looks a little off i guess

What kind and size of trap is that? I have a handful of coyotes at my place I'd like to trap.

It was caught in a #2 double coil spring trap (bridger brand) I have added 3 swivels, a base plate with center locator, and machined chain with jaw lamination , also a posi-trip pan system
