Any issues? pat downs, metal detectors, wands? Looks like I might be
going this weekend. I searched and found one thread on the subject
but it was from 09. Anyone been there recently?

I've been twice in the last 2-2.5 years, most recently about 5-6 months ago (i think) and there were no pat-downs or metal detectors in use. FWIW, i didn't see any "no guns" signs either.
Things may have changed a bit after some shenanigans (think stabbings and gun fights) at piere's across the parking lot, but I can't say for sure that they have. and don't worry too much about piere's, as long as you're not in the club its pretty tame.
I hope snickerz got their (electric) pop-corn popper replaced, some knuckle head submerged it to clean it when i was there last. also, if you're a fan of long island iced tea, they make a dang good one.

Ya no prob carring there unless you do try the long islands....... After 2 of those I don't remember after that
