I think it would be wise to have but I just can't decide which company to go with, so I have three questions.

    1. Did Guy ever cover it on his radio show? If so what date?

    2. If you have it, what company did you go with?

    3. Why did you pick that company?

    Thanks for your replies, Pat

I'm asking about liability insurance for self defense. Yes I did a search and the one you linked was the only current one which was discussing what the NRA offers, there are so many differences in what companies are offering I was interested in what company others INGO'ers went with and why.

The insurance is for JFC. :D

I don't see the need for it. If it's a good self defense shooting, then there will be no insurance necessary. On the other hand, if it's not a good self defense shot...well then you're probably going to jail and insurance isn't going to do you very much good in there. Am I missing something?

Well I may be wrong, but I believe odds are weather a good shooting or not you're going to be arrested and the situation will be investigated. I would want to be represented by an attorney so I can keep my mouth shut and not say something that could be used against me in the future.

Lets look at the extreme, George Zimmerman, I think he made several mistakes but initially it was called a good shoot, than after public/political pressure a bad shoot, and his butt ended up with one hell of a bill.

You can keep your mouth shut without a lawyer!

Even if it is a good shoot, you may go bankrupt defending yourself in a civil suit. It may be a good shoot and still you are charged and arrested. Lawyers aren't cheap. Very good lawyers are exorbitant.
