Yes, the Austrian Germans welcoming the incoming larger government with open arms. What could go wrong?

    -Nationalism!
    -Socialism!
    -Unification!
-And, of course, the Germans only wanting to bring order and stability to an unruly Europe.

    Again, what could go wrong?

Of course, there is an argument that today the Socialists are achieving across Europe what the Soviets could not, even with 70 years of trying. But I think that is for another thread.

He should just make it up to them by selling Sigs to Colombia's enemies too. Germany's happy, Sig makes more money, Win Win. :dunno:

    DATELINE: Lafayette, Indiana USA

"SIG-USA announced today that Lafayette attorney Kirk Freeman will become the new interim CEO of SIG-USA. Freeman, who has firearms industry experience as working the gun counter at Galyan's in high school and undergrad and making hyperbolic comments in gun nut internet forums, is seen as a dark horse choice.

When interviewed, after a long stream of profanity, Freeman was quoted as saying 'I am going to take a flamethrower to the Rainbow Brite Unicorn line and get back to making guns that ****ing work. Fewer guns, high quality. Oh, and we are going to start keeping an inventory so the next CEO does not end up in a slam you in the butt prison when we get a sweet deal to arm those who shoot Leftists in the face.'

Freeman's compensation package is unorthodox as he will be paid his weight in several calibers of ammunition per week, all the guns he likes that get 'misplaced' off the line, a pony keg of Zombie Dust a week and a dartboard and photo of an individual identified only as 'rhino'. He starts immediately."

Big corporations making shady deals...I'm shocked! If I interpreted correctly, "Many details of the Sig Sauer case remain unclear, in part because German prosecutors will keep documents related to the charges against Cohen under seal until the trial begins on Feb. 26." There is no "discovery law" in Germany?

Correct. The rest of the world does not follow American due process.

Cohen gets a 22 month suspended sentence and a 900,000 Euro ($1M+) fine. One of the German "co-conspirators" also gets a 900,000 Euro fine and an 11 month suspended sentence. The third receives an 11 month suspended sentence and a 90,000 Euro fine. All three agree to "confess":

Maybe SIG will take up my revolutionary idea of keeping an inventory instead of following that '80s "Just In Time" inventory nonsense to avoid further imprisonment and files.

Cannot imagine how Cohen thought this was a good idea. All that stuff with Franco and he thought the Germans would tolerate his hijinks.
