    Anybody have one of these?
AR-Stoner Receiver Extension Buffer Tube Tap 1-3/16-16 Thread AR-15

Are you willing to loan it out? If so, please PM me. I have a 2nd hand, stripped lower with threads that need chased ASAP. The threads are there, but are EXTREMELY tight. I can only get a buffer tube screwed in about 1/3 of the way. Let me put this into prospective; Let's say the manufacturer does 2 passes in the threading process. This receiver looks like they only made one pass. If that makes sense....

    Thanks INGO!

Not trying to be a wise guy, but are you sure that the threads on the buffer tube are good? Will it screw into another receiver? I have seen a lot more problems with rolled threads, like on a tube, being out of spec than cut threads like used on a lower receiver.

What ever it is, good luck

It's a valid point. I did double check the tube on 2 other receivers. The tube is G2G. I know its the threads on the receiver.

Be careful you don't thin the buffer tube ring out too much or crack it.

Also a VERY valid point. Patience and cutting oil will be my friend. This won't be my first rodeo with running a tap. Hopefully, just chasing the threads will be the solution.

    Thank you though! :D

    Edit: I ordered the tap.
