I wouldnt buy one I couldnt inspect first. I believe these are surplus from Iraq.

Does seem like a decent price for a starter base... Kinda like buying a clunker Mustang to restore it.

I have two DPMS complete lowers no problem. They look and shoot just fine I have a colt A2 upper on one and it reminds me of the M 16 I had in Viet Nam

    .
Nothing wrong with buying a clunker and restoring it. Just takes some time, money, and patience.:)

From the pictures, they look more abused than used.
I have a DPMS in 5.56 and I also occasionally put a .450 Bushmaster and .22 upper on the lower. I have had zero issues out of it. Does everything it was designed to do at a reasonable price.

Wonder if they came from ISIS who got them from us...either way there's better deals you can get. A brand new S&W M&P15 is $729 at the Gander Mountain. It might be better to wait and shell out a couple hundred more than get something you'd be looking to replace in the near future.

I suppose they're really of interest to a military collector, but as other have said an AR platform can be obtained cheaper (and with less wear)

DPMS = Doesn't Pass Military Specifications

I must remember that one :yesway:
