My 21 year old nephew was diagnosed with testicular cancer last Friday and had surgery on Monday to have a testicle removed. He is very lucky to have caught it early. He is in good spirits.

Just a PSA to not only check the rear pipe but to check your bag also.

    What would I check for?

    Over or under inflated?
    "Jingle Bells" when jogging?
    Turn my head and cough?
Red ball, Blue ball, Green ball?
    Do I take their temperature?

    :dunno:

Seriously men...check your testicles...feel for unusual bumps, lumps, hard spots...anything abnormal should be examined by a physician.

In all seriousness. Not going to play around with this subject. If things feel tender more then usual. If you notice a difference in size. Difficulty urinating. If you notice anything different contact your doctor. I lost a friend to testicular cancer. It's not a joke!

OP, I am glad your buddy caught it in time. Best of luck to him!

Will he be following up the surgery with another treatment like radiation or chemo?

A friend of mine was diagnosed a few years ago, and had a recurrence recently.

    Nothing to mess around with.

My nephew is feeling good, just sore. The doctors are optimistic that they caught this early enough that he may not have to go through Chemo or radiation.
