What was the price? The ones I'm seeing are about $400. Personally, I would get a 10/22 and purchase an M1 carbine replica stock and Tec-Sights. You'll still be around the $400 price but it's a 10/22 and they're a proven design. Plus you'll have fun putting it together. Also, I believe the Chiappa M1 22 has already had a recall.

I read somewhere (don't remember where at the moment) these had a problem with the feed ramp causing causing it not to load properly. Do a search for problems before buying one. But, they do look good!

They wanted right around 400 bucks for it. Wasn't thinking much about buying one....just seemed a neat alternative. The Ruger 10/22 stock in M1 Carbine replica sounds interesting

Buds or kentucky gun co was selling them also. Cant remember which one. The reviews were not so good...alot of plastic parts and feeding problems were brought up in the reviews.

This - my wife has a 10/22 conversion. It's not quite as authentic looking as the Chiappa, but it's metal. I even made a faux M1 magazine with a hacksaw and epoxy putty.

I have an Chiappa M4 upper in .22LR. It shoots well but is finicky with ammo. It like federal and cci but won't feed remington at all. I have a 10/22 as well. The Ruger is a much higher quality fiream in my opinion when compared to my Chiappa.

I saw one at the Bedford gun show Sunday. I did not know they made them. My son and I both have the Erma .22 version of the M-1 Carbine that we enjoy shooting. We found ours at local gun auctions for around $200.

I think its a neat little gun. Wish it wasn't black plastic though. A nice wood with parkerized looking synthetic would have been nice and doable. Price is kinda high for what it is. I think if I was going to spend the money I would just save a little more for a M&P 15-22. Obviously though the draw here for a M1 look-a-like otherwise folks would just get a 10/22 or something.

they do make them with a wood stock(i think they are about 50.00 more than the plastic stock), i think they look cool, but they only make a 10 round magazine, id like it to have a 10 or 30 like a real carbine

right to bear arms in ft branch and 2 plastic, and 1 wood stock a few weeks ago, plus they had a ati stg44, the stg44 is one heavy mofo!

to the op its made by citadel, not chiappa.i made that mistake too, i spent 2 hours looking for a chiappa m1, never found one!

If it's anything like their other products, your money will probably be better spent elsewhere.

They're rapidly gaining a Taurus-like reputation for unreliability in the long-term.

    10/22 Conversion is awesome! Here's mine: https://www.indianagunowners.com/forums/long_guns/220945-my_10_22_m1_carbine_conversion.html

The little things really make it pop don't they?
