'Twas the night before Heller
and all through the dwelling
The sweet odor of Hoppes
Was there for the smelling.
The patches were scrubbing
the bores with light oil.
And all was in readiness,
thanks to the toil.
The bolts were tested
with a "clack-clack-clack,"
In case Justice Kennedy
veered off the track.
Heller gets decided today (1 hour).
Note, though, that Heller is primarily about the Federal Government's ability to restrict ownership and right-to-carry guns (since DC is fed land). So, Scalia's going to have to be clear about what kinds of limits are and are not allowable by the _states_ (and lesser municipalities) to get something going against Chicago.
Lets hope our man doesn't disappoint do2:
I actually doubt that. I think Scalia's going to write it and it will state there's an individual right to possess certain kinds of guns and neither the feds nor the states can infringe on it. Check Scotusblog.com in 20 minutes and it'll have all the info.
