Yep, need to at least be a double-barrel (as our 'illustrious' vice-leader "Double-Barrel Biden" noted.

But you typically buy a pump for the same price as a double-barrel, so might just as well issue pumps, IMO.

Seeing as this program appears geared more toward women, and the basic idea is a shotgun in the house for defense, it MIGHT make sense to issue 20 ga. shotguns.

    Just a thought.

Love this idea. Teach/train homeowners/residents to safely own a firearm, and give them one for free for going through the classes/training.

Gun rights group hopes to arm Chicago, other major U.S. cities - U.S. News

I know it's about Chicago, but it could help Indiana residents as well! :ingo:

Thanks for the link. Hopefully it will make an impact.

A single shot shotgun won't help much.
So you're saying having nothing is better than having a single shot? How hard is it to reload a single shot? At least this is a start.

Seems like there are two groups of people who are deathly afraid of citizens owning firearms:

    1) Criminals
    2) Liberal Politicians

Hmmm, interesting. What's the difference between these two groups?

Hmmm, after serious study and contemplation, I can find NO appreciable differences, except one is paid by the citizens - guess that don't count cause they both steal their income. After more thinking, one difference, the Liberal politicians (mostly) don't do jail time for their crimes.
