    Until the Illinois counties outside of Cook decide they want to see change, they are destined to remain gunless. It should not take as long as it has to get a referendum on the ballot concerning gun rights, outside of Cook.

    They can make as many excuses as they wish concerning the "Machine" and the powerful Democrats, but still, those are only excuses. It seems like they are waiting on some powerful super-human to come and save the day for them, but they don't wan to do the work, just complain.

    Maybe more counties can stand with this group to unite the state. It's a large minority who are against gun rights in Illinois, but still they are a minority of the population.
