Childhood memories aka smellavision

I was on my bike last Saturday on 24 and passed a residence that had this smell that totally reminded me of being at my grandparents home when they lived on a lake in Michigan. The memory hit me like a sledgehammer. Anyone else going through their normal day and smell, see, hear something that brings back those memories from the past? Hopefully good memories.

I can remember an assignment on connotations I had to write once, I chose the scent of scotch, as I had always associated that scent with my Grandfather. He laughed when I told him I thought it was his cologne.
