    whoa whoa whoa!
    I went cheaper then that!
I got a kit from Lowes. It is called Mr Christmas. Comes with a music box/controller and 4 receivers you can plug in elsewhere around the house. The brains sends the on off commands to the 4 receivers and they blink accordingly.

You get holiday music, Christmas music, halloween, and a light show setting, as far as I know you cannot add your own music :-/

I ordered an fm transmitter and mic off amazon and run the broadcasting that way.

hoosierdoc. I have a Light-O-Rama set up, with 32 outputs.
I ran it a couple years with no music.
Last year I started music, but only had 2 songs ready. Wizards in Winter and Come All Ye Faithful.
I just set up 1/2 the lights this year, and should have the rest of the lights up tomorrow. I had to modify the 2 songs because of some changes I made.
I'm working on Christmas Eve in Sarajevo, and Linus & Lucy (Charlie Brown).
If have any questions, I'm starting to get the hang of it. I'm sure the software does 10 times more than what I'm using it for. But I'm teaching myself, so what can you do?

note: music sounds a little scratchy in video. I've replaced the transmitter this year, sounds better now.

This place is about 10 miles to my house. It went viral on YouTube, I'm an IU fan, but would not want to live next door to this.
