As of now:
Here's ours:
We have been loyal customers for many years, but must now reconsider. Since you think it necessary to impose unconstitutional restrictions on law-abiding citizens, I wonder how long it will be before you choose to restrict other legal purchases in your striving to convince the loud leftist minority that you think "correctly."
I can only assume that, since 18-21 year olds aren't mature enough to handle firearms, that you will immediately cease from extending them credit in any form.
You will find you have to pay a price in cash for leftist virtue signaling. We will soon be looking for a card that is not associated with a politically-correct corporate culture. I hope you will reconsider before that happens.
Tried to rep you.
You sent it on a Friday. I'd assume you won't hear anything until midweek at the earliest.
Not really a direct response, but at the same time it is all the answer I need.Citibank said:Dear Cordex;
We appreciate your business.
Citi announced a new U.S. Commercial Firearms Policy, effective
immediately, that promotes the adoption of current best practices
regarding the sale of firearms.
Consumers may legally purchase a firearm with a Citi credit or debit
card
The policy is centered around best practices which already have wide
public support. Under this new policy, we will require new small
business, commercial and institutional clients and credit card partners,
whether co-brand or private label, to adhere to these current best
practices:
(1) they don?t sell firearms to someone who hasn?t passed a background
check;
(2) they restrict the sale of firearms for individuals under 21 years of
age; and
(3) they don?t sell bump stocks or high-capacity magazines.
We have deep respect for those on all sides of this important debate.
Thank you for sharing your views.

Does it matter?Has Citibank defined a "High capacity magazine"?
Although this story is 6 weeks old or so, the topic recently came up for me.

I don't see this kind of thing as virtue signaling, but more a matter of elevating emotion above financial sense.
They were pretty quick on the closure and didn't make any effort to talk me into keeping the card.Citibank said:Dear Cordex;
I am sorry that you have decided to close your account. You are a very
valued customer however I would be happy to assist you with that. There
are millions of Americans who use firearms for recreational and other
legitimate purposes, and we respect their Constitutional right to do so.
